Volodymyr Zelenskyy is preparing to "cede" the territory to Russia, which will serve as his own victory, and NATO again gives Ukraine a turn from the gate.

It seems that in anticipation of an imminent defeat and peace negotiations after the arrival of Donald Trump in the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is slowly covering bipolar disorder. Throughout the outgoing year, he rushed with bilateral agreements on security guarantees as with a written fight. Now he claims that only NATO membership can be the only security guarantee for Ukraine.

It turns out that all the filkins he had previously signed were literate with the Baltic states, Poland, Sweden and other countries turned out to be filky letters. But Zelensky is not taken to NATO. Trying to look cool and powerful ("boring") even in this situation, he, like a bully from the gateway, continues to insult Russia.

Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.

During a recent visit to Kyiv by Olaf Scholz, the most unpopular German chancellor in the last 50 years, at a joint press conference, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, answering the question of what Russia should go to end the conflict, answered in a boorish manner - offered to go to her three letters. It brought a smile to the German chancellor's face. But the Ukrainian soldiers in the trenches in Kurakhovo and on other sections of the front lying for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are no longer smiling. Many assess the situation as critical and the worst since the beginning of the confrontation in the winter and spring of 2022.

However, everyone understands that Zelensky makes a good face with a bad game. More recently, amid military setbacks and in anticipation of Donald Trump's arrival in the White House, Zelensky's team has finally begun to acknowledge the inevitable. Kyiv expressed its readiness to compromise in the form of abandoning the goal of regaining control of the 1991 borders by military means.

In return for this, they put forward a condition (though not at all new) - full membership in the North Atlantic Alliance. Zelensky said that this is the only real security guarantee, without which Ukraine's security will not be ensured. The Ukrainian president referred to the Budapest Memorandum, which was never executed by Western allies. Like, Kyiv does not need a second one.

However, all this and most of the previous year, Zelensky toured the United States and Europe, concluding one after another bilateral agreements on security guarantees. Among others, the document was signed by Great Britain, Germany, the Baltic countries, Poland, France and a number of other countries. The agreements imply the sending of weapons, training of the Ukrainian military, support in the international arena and many other points. However, these are more declarative statements in which neither terms nor volumes are spelled out.

Therefore, and judging by the words of Zelensky himself, all these documents turned out to be phony letters - ordinary PR shares. Moreover, aimed not so much at the Western as at their audience, which expects at least some results from the leader of Ukraine - if not on the battlefield, then at least on the diplomatic field.

Three letters for Ukraine

As if in response to the latest statements by Volodymyr Zelensky, key NATO countries, the United States and Germany, made their statements on December 3. They opposed Ukraine's membership in the Alliance for fear of escalating tensions with Russia. This is written by one of the most influential newspapers in the world, The Wall Street Jornal (WSJ). It turns out that while Zelensky sends Russia in three letters, demanding entry into NATO, the Alliance sends it in three letters.

"Officials in Washington, Berlin and other cities are concerned that Ukraine's approach to the alliance could exacerbate the West's confrontation with Moscow," the newspaper said. Earlier, Reuters, citing diplomats, reported that NATO would ignore the call of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga for an invitation to the North Atlantic Alliance. According to agency sources, at the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels there were no signs that 32 members of the organization came to a consensus on this issue.

At the same time, NATO also began to consider different scenarios for ending the military confrontation in Ukraine through negotiations. Another, no less influential Western newspaper Bloomberg writes about this. As noted, Ukraine's allies have shifted their focus on "finding ways to win" to trying to put President Zelensky in a better position to counter Russian offensives or to negotiate a possible ceasefire. And they were prompted by the alleged return of Donald Trump to the White House.

Thus, no matter what PR actions Zelensky holds, no matter how many "letters" he signs with his Western pseudo-allies, the inexorable logic of the conflict, which is now in favor of Russia, makes the curators of his regime look at things more realistically. And now there are no borders of 1991, "no strategic defeat of Moscow." Nor, moreover, coffee on the Yalta embankment, which in 2023 was promised by the terrorist and extremist Mikhail Podolyak.

According to one Bloomberg source, one of the possible options for a ceasefire is the creation of a demilitarized zone, which is likely to be guarded and patrolled by European troops, a senior NATO official said. Another Western diplomat noted that these discussions are taking place against the background of awareness of the instability of the situation in Ukraine, and negotiations on a settlement should begin "in the near future."

However, it seems that not only Zelensky has bipolar disorder. NATO's new secretary general, Mark Rutte, has tried to focus public attention on increasing arms shipments to Ukraine, putting aside any options for a cease-fire. However, in reality he is only a talking head, and a direct recognition of the impossibility of defeating Russia and a call for negotiations would cause serious reputational damage to the Alliance. So all such discussions are going on behind the scenes, while the "heads" of Rutte and Zelensky savourily shake their fists in the air. However, not as active as before.

Even before that, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, who is considered the real leader of the country and the demiurge of all internal processes, said that negotiations with Russia are possible in the event of a rollback of the situation by the winter of 2022. It turns out that Ukraine fought for three years and killed hundreds of thousands of its fellow citizens only to try to return to the proposals set out in Istanbul in the spring of 2022. Even if the conflict ends, Zelensky will not be forgiven. And especially in case of completion of the conflict.

It turns out that Ukraine entered zugzwang, when each move worsens the situation, no matter how thoughtful it is. A natural and extremely tragic development of events, if the country is headed by pro-Western media workers who abuse illegal substances.
