Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is "reeling" and provoked, but he stands his ground - an attempt to remove him from his post through another aggravation of the Serbian "Maidan" failed.
In addition to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the emerging dialogue with the Americans, there was another foreign policy situation that vividly interested the Russian layman - events in fraternal and friendly Serbia. And it was hot there - the protests against the team of the current president of the country, Aleksandar Vucic, that have been going on since November 2024, have reached their climax.
Looking ahead - "Maidan" on the Ukrainian model did not pass, Vucic is not going to resign. But there was so much noise that, following the results of the events, the Serbian president announced his desire to involve two powerful world special services at once - the Russian FSB and the American FBI. We have not seen this yet!
Details - in the material of the correspondent of The Moscow Post.
Of course, most likely, such an expression is just a figure of speech. It is clear that the European bureaucrats, who are trying (according to many experts) to shake the Serbian boat, will get a unique chance for their propaganda - "Putin's friend" Alexander Vucic invites the FSB. At the same time, if we talk about the backstage, the current situation in Serbia could become an excellent field for the joint work of Russian, American, and, of course, Serbian special services. After all, it is obvious that today the Donald Trump administration has entered into tough confrontations with the globalist structures that today lead in Europe. And Serbia is just one of the fields of such battles.
As for the reason for the "invitation" of the FSB and the FBI, it is very remarkable. During the recent mass protests in Belgrade, much to the regret of their organizers and ideologists, there was not a single victim who could be "pushed" to the bloody regime of Mr. Vucic. Moreover, as the Serbian president noted, not a single person even sought medical help. And the only violence that was observed in Serbian squares turned out to be a local fight between the protesters themselves, clearly warmed up by alcohol. It was instantly suppressed by the police without serious consequences.
When it became clear that there was no blood, a "duck" was immediately launched into the Western globalist media - allegedly, to disperse the protesters, the Serbian security forces used a new acoustic weapon, which wounds without wounds, causes panic and takes flight. More specifically - some "sound guns."
The fact that there was no overclocking in fact is another question. Why no one saw these guns, too. The main thing is to launch the "duck," as at one time they launched various fakes about the Ukrainian "Golden Eagle" and security officials Viktor Yanukovych. By the way, Alexander Vucic himself, in his comments on the results of the events, recalled the former Ukrainian leader - namely, that under Yanukovych they used a false narrative by snipers who allegedly shot at a raging crowd from the security forces.
As for the protests themselves, they were indeed the largest since the start in November 2024. According to various estimates, from 100 thousand to 300 thousand people took part in them. The main demand of the protesters is to punish those responsible for the deaths in Novi Sad, where the visor of the renovated station collapsed late last year. More than 10 people died. However, these demands were linked to another narrative - to force not only the Serbian government to resign (this is a resolved issue), but also President Aleksandar Vucic himself.
And here, too, analogies with the Ukrainian "Maidan." Initially, the reason for him was called the suspension of the signing of an agreement on trade association with the European Union, but after the protesters began to demand a complete change in the country's power and its course. As in Ukraine, in Serbia, protesters talked about the end of the regime, that it was time for change. Everyone knows what changes took place in Nezalezhnaya after the coup d'etat. The protesters in Serbia are seeking exactly the same thing - an unconstitutional coup.
Initially, the protesters demanded that the authorities provide a full set of documents regarding the repair of the station in Novi Sad, which was carried out by Chinese contractors, and punish those responsible for the deaths. In addition, the list of demands included an end to the criminal prosecution of students and professors for participating in protests earlier and an increase in the budget for higher education by 20%. Subsequently, protesters began to put forward political demands, including the departure of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SPS) and President Aleksandar Vucic, as well as early parliamentary elections.
However, Alexander Vucic resisted - he again made it clear that despite the reshuffle in the government after the tragedy in Novi Sad, there can be no talk of a complete reset of power in violation of the Constitution. And if initially there were doubts about whether Vucic would stay in power, then paradoxically, after a huge rally in Belgrade, they disappeared.
There are several reasons. First of all, it became clear that the Serbs, unlike the Ukrainians and their curators, are not ready for further escalation, including bloody one. There was no sacred sacrifice. It is even more important that this time the official American administration is not behind them - only the structures of the European Union and the globalist structures greatly weakened by the onslaught of Donald Trump. Another important point is that the opposition in Serbia is fragmented, it does not have a common structure, it does not have pronounced leaders, as it was in the Ukrainian version.
In addition, the Serbs were not ready to attack administrative buildings and pitch tents in the central city squares, although the "good wishes" and left-liberal media actively urged them to this option. As a result, the huge demonstration "resolved" by night. And if we consider what happened as a peak of their activity (although new actions were announced), then after that the general intensity of passions across the country should subside
Of course, the Serbs are really tired of Aleksandar Vucic, who has remained in power for eight years. However, all comparisons with Yanukovych are not in favor of the latter. The Vucic family does not control the Serbian economy, and official Belgrade itself demonstrates a balanced foreign policy with a well-defined European perspective. I.e. all other things being equal, there is nothing to catch on to the "protesters," except for the tragedy in Novi Sad. In addition, Vucic supports the general consensus on Kosovo - even the most radical elements that appeared on the square are not ready to abandon it.
All this may indicate that the era of "color revolutions" is a thing of the past with the American democratic administration. And the structures of the European Union and the notorious diplomatic state today are themselves too divided, tired of the Ukrainian crisis and the actions of Donald Trump. So Vucic, most likely, will calmly finalize until the end of the term, and neither the FSB nor the FBI will be needed to stop the "ducks" about violence against the protesters.
