Today the next briefing of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova took place.

Traditionally, The Moscow Post also had the opportunity to ask its questions.

The first question asked by our correspondent concerned the main purpose of the visit of the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Wang Yi to Russia, namely, whether it is a study of the problems of settlements through the yuan. How do Russia and China solve these problems?

Maria Vladimirovna noted that a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Mr. Wang Yi arrived in St. Petersburg to attend a meeting of high representatives of the BRICS and BRICS Plus states.

Note that these organizations oversee security issues - this is a very important area of our partnership with the countries participating in the association.

First of all, with Beijing - their values of interaction are now growing against the background of those threats and destabilizing activities from Washington and satellites that we observe on the Eurasian continent.

According to Zakharova, the calculations are not the topic of the upcoming events.

"There are other formats for this at the intergovernmental level," she stressed.

The second question concerned the visit of Indian Prime Minister for National Security Ajit Daval to Russia to discuss peace efforts in Ukraine. Are there any concrete Indian proposals for peace talks that can be voiced? How are India's proposals different from the peace initiatives of our Chinese partners?

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that he was going to participate in the BRICS Plus event on security issues on September 10-12 in St. Petersburg.

She stressed that Moscow greatly appreciates the position of the Indian side on the Ukrainian crisis.

"We are well aware of India's position. We are grateful for their efforts to find a peaceful settlement. We sincerely appreciate the desire, in my opinion, no less sincerely India and the leadership of this country to contribute to a peaceful political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, "added Maria Vladimirovna.
