A new statement of claim has been prepared against journalist Maxim Shevchenko. It was compiled by lawyers of St. Petersburg entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin.
A copy of the document was published on the VKontakte social network page of the Concord company's press service. The claim says that Maxim Shevchenko, in a video, published on the journalist's YouTube channel, allowed himself to make harsh statements and unsubstantiated accusations against Yevgeny Prigozhin. The video contains statements that humiliate the honour and business reputation of the entrepreneur.
The lawyers stressed that such statements not only violate the right of Yevgeny Prigozhin to high self-esteem, but also affect the positive attitude towards the entrepreneur in society. In other words, they harm the honour and dignity of the entrepreneur. The document states that the information is defamatory and does not correspond to reality.
Yevgeny Prigozhin's lawyers ask the Court to recover 5 000 000 rubles of compensation for moral damage from Shevchenko. The lawyers also demand to oblige the journalist to recognize the announced information as unreliable and to take the video away from public access.
Let us recall, that earlier, the lawyers of the St. Petersburg businessman filed a libel suit against the infamous blogger Navalny, as well as his associate Vladimir Milov.
